There is no official list of equipment that should be taken to exhibition; the requirements are different for every business in every different industry.
But there is a basic checklist of equipment that the majority of organisations will require when they set out to a trade show or exhibition.
According to Tim Fuller, managing director of Discount Displays, “All exhibitioners require certain basic materials that will create the foundation of their display. From the simplest promotional materials to lighting, media and other enhancements, there are certain pieces of equipment which are integral to the appearance and effectiveness of an exhibition area.”
The first and most important piece of equipment is obviously the high-quality exhibition stand. Without the banner stand and the accompanying graphics, there is next to no point attending the trade show in the first place. The exhibition stands are what projects the main message that businesses wants to convey, whether it is a product launch, a special offer or simply an overview of their entire range of products and services. From roller banner stands to integrated media stands, there are a whole range of stands for businesses to choose from to suit their own needs and appeal most effectively to the target audience.
Once exhibition stands and promotional material has been arranged, most exhibitioners focus on furnishing their exhibition area. Exhibition counters are a great way to do this; they provide a focal point for the whole display, where staff and potential clients can gather, and they offer a hard surface for filling out forms, storing flyers and leaflets and small literature holders. Pop-up counters are often simple to transport and assemble, making them an integral addition to any exhibition display kit.
After finalising the furniture and the displays, the foundation of the exhibition display will be complete. Now enhancements can be added to draw more attention to the area; spotlights are a great way to illuminate and grab the eye, and when positioned properly they can also give an illusion of more space within the exhibition area. Exhibition spotlights can highlight certain points on a banner stand or they can up-light the entire exhibition area and create a light and airy space that potential customers will be drawn to.
With all of this equipment, it is essential to have the resources to carry it around when not in use. All banner stands for exhibitions, as well as lighting features, counters and extra equipment are available with an optional carry bag to make the process of setting up and packing away simple and easy. Carry bags are convenient and secure, making them the final piece of the puzzle for the basic display kit.
